Beautiful Natural Coulter pine cones from the Mountains in Southern California.
Coulter pines produce the largest cones of any pine tree species (people are actually advised to wear hardhats when working in Coulter pine groves), although the slender cones of the sugar pine are longer. The large size of the cones has earned them the nickname "widowmakers" among locals.
These are not freestanding cones, but they could be made a little flatter by removing some of the spines at the bottom of the cone.
They are fumigating so bug free, however, some sap make continue to come out of the cone, producing a rich scent
