Star Anise is easily recognisable with their eight-sided pod shape. They are the fruit of a magnolia tree family native to China and Vietnam.
Not just for cooking, their fabulous shape makes them super versatile for many other uses: add them to your bath bomb or soap making, at the base of pillar candles for decoration or add some essential oils and use as pot pourri.
Make a beautiful wreath with star anise alongside orange slices, whole oranges, cinnamon sticks and pine cones.
